Sojol products were hosted by Deinde at LondonBuild2018. A lot of interest was generated in this relatively new field of renewable energy as well as in the technology of a significantly improved rate of heat transfer to air flow whether by solar or other means.
Global Cooling Prize applicant 2019
Sojol has recently submitted an application for the Global Cooling Prize. It is an initiative by Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), the Government of India and Mission Innovation to incentivize the development of a 1.5 Tr residential cooling solution that will have at least five times less climate impact than today’s standard RAC units.. They all came together to spur innovation and revolutionize the air-conditioning industry so that people around the world can have access to cooling without warming the planet.
Ten finalists will be chosen in October for the prize. Each finalist will have the opportunity to trial two prototypes in designated apartments in India.
Some of Sojol’s measures to meet these objectives included:
Using the refrigerant R290 with virtually zero global warming impact
A fan that uses a fraction of the power consumption compared with an axial or cross flow fan.
Targeted fan energy resulting in a significant reduction in wasted energy from the traditional axial condenser fan
Significantly improved heat transfer techniques for the refrigerant in the condenser and evaporator to improve heat transfer efficiency
Designed heat exchange for easy access to clean the copper coil for long term efficiency.
Significantly reduced vulnerability to damage from cleaning
The Big Five (Dubai) and the Building Show (Canada) 2019
Sojol is looking forward to attending these two large shows this year seeking like-minded companies to help launch Sojol’s products in the global market
